This is a true story of a prodigious Ugandan girl who has a gift for playing chess. The director has painstakingly captured the details of the daily struggle of a desperate family and follows the girl as she travels and is exposed to a world outside of her Kampala slum. - Holes
A movie that is based on the novel by Louis Sachar, it captures the story of a body who is falsely accused of stealing shoes and is sent to labor camp where other kids are forced to dig five-foot holes in the desert sun for no reason.
